Three days of debating by Chiefs of Police, senior law enforcement officers and academic experts resulted in the drawing up of a set of joint directions and guidelines for future policies to tackle organised crime and terrorism.
These conclusions have now been published in a concise report – the European Police Chiefs Convention 2011. The report also documents the official opening of Europol’s new headquarters, 01 July 2011 in The Hague, by Her Majesty Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands, and the unveiling of a new European law enforcement memorial for officers who have died in the line of duty.
