Internships at Europol

Europol offers a comprehensive paid internship programme that equips you with professional skills and experience with which to build your future career. You will gain first-hand experience of working in an EU institution and in the wider field of Justice and Home Affairs. What’s more, as team member within an international law enforcement agency, you will be contributing to Europe’s safety and security.

Our internship programme is designed to:

  • provide interns with first-hand practical experience and knowledge of Europol’s inner workings, objectives, and services, as well as other institutions of the European Union;
  • immerse interns in a multicultural and international professional environment, promoting mutual understanding and trust among diverse teams;
  • support European integration efforts by offering opportunities for collaboration and learning across borders for young graduates;
  • empower interns to apply their academic knowledge in real-world scenarios, preparing them for future professional endeavours;
  • introduce interns to the professional world and its diverse range of duties, responsibilities, and opportunities for growth and development.

Through our internship programme, Europol benefits from the fresh perspectives and academic expertise of our interns, aiming to build long-term relationships with future collaborators committed to upholding European security and values. Our programme creates lasting advocates for European ideas and values both within and beyond the European Union.
