Europol has the pleasure to launch its 2014 online international photo competition for the best law enforcement photographs.

This annual competition aims to foster a growing international community of law enforcement photographers who create images that stand apart through their impact, their ability to move people and their capacity for communication.

Entries are welcome from professional and amateur photographers working for law enforcement agencies and law enforcement magazines in EU countries and countries with Europol Agreements.

The competition, which opens for entries today, will run until 15 August 2014. This year sees the competition going online, with four different categories for entries:

Making Europe safer • Organised crime • Practice makes perfect • Freestyle

Three winning photographers will win a trip for two people to the Netherlands, with a visit to Europol. Nine further finalists will receive the new Europol book and their photo will appear in 2015 Europol calendars, along with the top three.

To enter and download full details and entry forms in different EU languages, please visit the photo competition webpage.
