Europol launches Call for Proposals with €7m funding from the EU Internal Security Fund

On 19th January 2015 Europol published a Call for Proposals to fund EMPACT actions within the 2015 programme. The call is restricted to EMPACT participants and is a result of the EMPACT Delegation Agreement signed between DG Home and Europol on 22 December 2014 that allows Europol to award Grants for the first time. The overall funding is valued at €7m over 2 years and originates from the EU Internal Security Fund (Police) instrument. The Call has been long awaited by Europol and the EMPACT participants who all recognise the importance of funding to implement their plans to tackle organised and serious international crime within the 2014-17 EU Policy Cycle.
