Today a letter of intent between Europol and the Police Cooperation Convention for Southeast Europe (PCC SEE) Secretariat was signed.
The PCC SEE Convention was agreed in 2006 by Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Romania and Serbia. Later the following states acceded to the Convention: Austria, Hungary and Slovenia.
The Convention foresees a wide range of activities, such as information exchange, joint analysis, hot pursuit, witness protection, prevention or cross-border surveillance.
