Tackling migrant smuggling in the digital domain

Given the significant challenges posed by digitalisation in the field of migrant smuggling, compounded by recent ground-breaking technological advancements, Europol and the EU Commission are organising a conference. The conference endeavours to assess the current impact of digitalisation on organised migrant smuggling and to brainstorm and advance suitable operational and political response strategies. The conference builds on the political strategic guidance provided under the Global Alliance and will foster a platform for dialogue among law enforcement and judiciary, facilitating the exchange of good practices in the prevention of and response to migrant smuggling in the digital domain.
