On 5 April 2024, a press conference will be held to present the findings of Europol’s report on the most threatening criminal networks in the European Union (EU). This event will be organised jointly by the Belgian presidency of the Council of the EU, Europol and the European Commission.
The report is the first of its kind to analyse in depth the characteristics that make criminal actors particularly threatening to the EU’s internal security.
All EU Member States and 17 third countries contributed data for this analysis, resulting in a unique dataset over 800 criminal networks. The assessment will help law enforcement and policymakers to identify measures to disrupt them.
The press conference will start with opening remarks, followed by a Q&A.
